I have been  involved in the martial arts now for over 26 years. I often wonder were the time has gone. The pressure point study of Kyusho jitsu has been part of my martial arts training since 2001. I must say it has truly revolutionized all the information I have had previously.  But the question is, how much information is there to learn…really?

Now I will first tell you that I am a direct student of Grand Master Steve Stewart. GM Stewart is the highest ranking Kyusho practitioner in Canada at 8th Dan, as well as the highest ranking American Kenpo Black Belt in Canada under the Trejo/Parker system.

The first year of my Kyusho education was very intense. There was so much information to learn and assimilate. At times is was overwhelming. The exam for 1st degree Black Belt takes 3 hours, and your skills and knowledge are really put to the test.

I wondered after this if there was really more to learn, or if we are just polishing up what we have. Well, it is both! I was shocked at this point as to how much more information there is, and how much work needed to be done on the information I thought I knew.

Today after nine years, because of all my hard work and dedication I sit at 5th Dan Black Belt and a Senior Master. I have certified to teach up to Level 4 and will certify at the final level in the fall. How much information? I could easily take the next 10 years to learn and understand what is still available.
